Frequently Asked Questions
The time it takes for adults to learn swimming varies significantly based on several factors, including prior experience, comfort level in water, and the frequency of lessons.
Most adult swimmers can learn the basics of swimming or the basic swimming strokes within 20 to 25 hours of private swimming lessons and basic water safety skills faster. This typically translates to about one 30-minute private lesson per week for a year, or more intensive schedules over a shorter time frame
Ultimately, the learning pace is influenced by the individual’s motivation, physical fitness, and the quality of instruction received. Consistent practice and a positive mindset are crucial for faster learning in your adult swimming lessons.
Learning to swim as an adult can be a daunting experience. One way to avoid the fear of water is to learn in a shallow swimming pool, in a one-on-one less on with a qualified instructor. You will always be able to touch the bottom in our pool.
All adult swimming lessons to learn to swim are held as one-on-one swimming lessons with a qualified private swim instructor. This allows you to get the support and attention you need in a fun and relaxed environment. We schedule our adult swimming classes or learn to swim private lessons outside of child lessons, so you will have the pool to yourself with your instructor in your swim program.
Great news, our pool is a magnesium pool with low chlorine levels, so the skin irritation is often avoided. If you do get a rash or irritated skin, we can change your less on plan so we teach you skills out of the pool and limit your pool time.
